The delegation also met with Dr. Mohamed Al-Amin Adam, Director General of Health for Gadarif State, and Dr. Sami Al-Dardiri, founder of the Gastroenterology Endoscopy Department,
๐ฅ accompanied by Professor Osman Bukhari, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Gadarif University, and Professor Dafallah Alam Al-Huda, Health Ministry Advisor, as well as Dr. Sar Al-Khatim Al-Tayeb Al-Faki, Director of Health Insurance.
๐ผ The delegation emphasized the importance of the Gadarif Gastroenterology Center and its pivotal role in providing medical services in eastern Sudan.
The Director of the National Center for Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases confirmed that a budget had been allocated for the construction of the Gadarif Gastroenterology Center in the 2023 budget,
but implementation was delayed due to the war.
๐๏ธ It was agreed to proceed with the first phase, including laying the foundation stone and constructing the external wall of the building.
Partnership development with the Diagnostic Center was also agreed upon.
๐ Additionally, it was agreed to organize a vaccination campaign for healthcare workers in Gadarif State in coordination with the Faculty of Medicine at Gadarif University.
As part of implementing the Federal Ministry of Healthโs policy of integrated roles with all health partners, the delegation also visited the Faculty of Medicine at Gadarif University and the Gastroenterology Endoscopy Department at the Health Insurance to help address the obstacles that had led to the departmentโs temporary suspension of work.
