On May 12, 2023, the Ministry of Health in Khartoum State celebrated International Nurses Day under the theme "Nursing: A Voice to Lead." Ibn Sina Center, specifically the Endoscopy Unit, participated in the exhibition, providing an explanation of endoscopy nursing techniques, showcasing cases treated at the center, including:
- Removal of foreign bodies
- Injection of gastric and esophageal varices
- Endoscopic sampling
- Dilatation of esophageal strictures
- Endoscope cleaning and sterilization
The participating nurses emphasized that this involvement aimed to:
- Highlight the crucial role of nurses in the field of endoscopy, as they perform various specialized tasks requiring high skill and precision.
- Provide detailed explanations to the public about the cases treated in the Endoscopy Unit and the nursing techniques employed in these situations.
- Offer opportunities for training in endoscopy to medical professionals, both nurses and doctors.
The participating nurses affirmed that the Endoscopy Unit at Ibn Sina Center is staffed with highly specialized medical professionals trained to the highest standards, committed to delivering the best medical services to patients.
