Conclusion of the National Specialized Centers Forum in Wad Medani: Calls to Transform Outcomes into Practical Mechanisms and Build the “New Sudan”

The annual National Specialized Centers Forum 2025 concluded today, Wednesday, in Wad Medani, Al Jazirah State, under the theme: “Despite the Challenges – Our Specialized Services Must Continue.” The forum was held from 30–31 December, under the patronage of the Federal Minister of Health, with the participation of health leaders, experts, and partners, alongside Mr. Murtada Ismail Al-Baili, Secretary-General of the Government of Al Jazirah State, and Dr. Ali Babiker Sid Ahmed, Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health.

Challenges and Commitment to Service
Dr. Ali Babiker Sid Ahmed highlighted that the past years were full of challenges, noting that the upcoming phase may be even more difficult “because the battle is not yet over.” He added that the Ministry is determined to improve healthcare services to satisfy citizens, despite the difficult circumstances in which its journey began, relying on “good intentions and sincere hearts” to overcome obstacles.

He stressed the urgency of transforming the forum’s outcomes into practical mechanisms, so they do not remain mere slogans, emphasizing the commitment to work “shoulder to shoulder” to develop national centers and provide the best services to citizens. He concluded with: “After hardship comes ease.”

Al Jazirah Government: Health Workers as Messengers of Humanity
Mr. Murtada Ismail Al-Baili described the medical staff as “messengers of humanity” and the essential pillar for building the New Sudan, noting that the timing of the forum coincides with significant national and religious occasions, including Independence Day and the anniversary of Al Jazirah’s liberation.

Praise for the White Army and Federal Partnership
Al-Baili expressed his appreciation for the “White Army” and the Armed Forces, highlighting that the forum’s recommendations will help shape the health map of the New Sudan. He also praised the crucial role of the Federal Ministry of Health under the leadership of Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, Minister of Health, and the Undersecretary, emphasizing that Al Jazirah State bears the responsibility of providing healthcare across vast areas and large population centers.

Future Vision
Al-Baili concluded by affirming that the doors of Al Jazirah State will remain open to initiatives and experts, expressing hope that the forum’s outcomes will translate into tangible results, contributing to the stability and sustainability of specialized services, under the forum’s theme: “Despite the Challenges – Our Specialized Services Must Continue.”

Forum Success and Coordination Efforts
Dr. Osama Abdel Rahman, Director-General of the Al Jazirah State Ministry of Health, described the forum as successful, noting its productive and goal-oriented discussions. He expressed gratitude to the health cadres of Al Jazirah State, the organizing committee, and the government secretariat.

Dr. Osama also mentioned the beginning of work with Dr. Abdelmounem at the Gastroenterology Center, emphasizing their belief that “many dreams can be achieved.” He announced plans to hold another forum for the central states, agreeing on a unified coordination for challenges and solutions. He concluded by thanking health workers and praying for the well-being of martyrs and the injured.

Appreciation and Continuity of Work
Dr. Haider Abdel Nabi, Director-General of Therapeutic Medicine, expressed his deep appreciation to the Federal Ministry of Health, represented by the Undersecretary, and to Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, Minister of Health, for their guidance and supervision of the forum’s activities.

He confirmed that Minister Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim was keen to attend the forum but was unable to do so due to another meeting. Dr. Abdel Nabi also praised the significant efforts of Dr. Al-Mugheer Al-Amin in planning and preparing the forum, noting that the participants came to implement his plans and vision, even though he could not attend personally.

Dr. Abdel Nabi concluded by emphasizing that the forum represents an important platform for exchanging expertise and enhancing collaboration between national centers, contributing to the development of healthcare services at the national level.
