On Saturday, March 1st, 2023, the Pediatric Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Workshop commenced in Sudan. This workshop operates under the auspices of the National Center for Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases, the Advisory Council for Gastrointestinal Diseases, the Sudanese Association for Gastrointestinal Diseases, and in the presence of the National Training Council.
The workshop aims to train pediatric gastrointestinal specialists in endoscopy, marking the initiation of pediatric gastrointestinal specialization in Sudan as a preliminary step towards accrediting fellowship in this field by the Medical Specializations Board.
