The Supervisory Visit to Jazeera State

The National Center for Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases, in conjunction with the Advisory Council for Gastrointestinal Diseases, conducted a supervisory visit to Jazeera State on Thursday, March 3rd. The purpose was to oversee the progress of gastrointestinal specialization in the state, as well as to monitor the completion of the Jazeera Endoscopy and Gastrointestinal Surgery Center.

 

The delegation from the National Center and the Advisory Council met with the Governor of Jazeera State, several officials from the Ministry of Health in the state, and the Director of the Jazeera Endoscopy and Gastrointestinal Surgery Center.

 

During the visit, the delegation conducted an inspection tour of the Jazeera Center for Endoscopy and Gastrointestinal Surgery, observing the center's operations and discussing the challenges faced with its officials.

 

At the conclusion of the visit, all parties agreed to implement the center's operations gradually. The initial phase would involve starting the endoscopy department and outpatient clinics at the earliest opportunity, paving the way for the complete operationalization of the center.

 

The delegation expressed its commitment to supporting the Jazeera Endoscopy and Gastrointestinal Surgery Center, aiming to operate it at its full capacity to deliver high-quality medical services to patients in Jazeera State and neighboring regions.

 

Recommendations:

Based on the findings of the supervisory visit, the National Center for Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases and the Advisory Council for Gastrointestinal Diseases recommended the following:

- Equipping the Jazeera Endoscopy and Gastrointestinal Surgery Center with necessary medical devices and equipment.

- Providing qualified medical staff to work at the center.

- Financial support for the center from the Federal Ministry of Health and the National Center for Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases."
